Everyone is talking about the tough winter financially that is ahead for everyone. The cost of living has risen so much in recent times that it really is a struggle for many. And business and work places are no exception.

As Christmas fast approaches (yes I know Halloween comes first, but planning is important!!!), many businesses, both small and large, are already considering their Christmas parties. Some have more money suitable for bigger functions than others. Some have much smaller budgets. This all got me thinking recently and I firmly believe that there’s NO need to leave Muff at all this Christmas to celebrate with your business/workplace. It’s ALL right here in the village. There’s something for everyone, and for every budget too.

If you’re on a smaller budget, then why not avail of the FREE use of the lounge at The Squealing Pig, Muff. Book your own music, and bring in outside catering. It’s a great way to save on your Christmas party and still keep business in the village. Check with Dean at the bar (Tel: (074) 938 4068) for details on music that may be available, and check out the fabulous catering service that is available from The Cabin (Tel: 087 399 9500) over at Muff Community Park. Louise and her staff will prepare your buffet and bring along on the night.

If you’re taking your staff out for coffee and cake, or a yummy bite of lunch, then you can’t go wrong with the best coffee shop in Donegal/Ireland at Tank & Skinny’s Muff. Tel: (074) 939 5869.

And should you be a business who wants to cater for your staff’s children, then take them along to The Cabin (Tel: 087 399 9500) at Muff Community Park and the kids can avail of their children’s meals and some fun time in the Park too.

And if you are meeting along the roadside for a Christmas Coffee, then park up at Claire the Bakers CoffeeStop (Tel: 087 185 6161) just outside the village.

You see, there’s NO need whatsoever to have your Christmas party or get-together anywhere other than right here in Muff this Christmas. Keep your socialising, and your spending local. Keep our local businesses alive, and spend what money you have right here this Christmas.
