Cavanagh Brothers

We’ve had Tony Bramwell at the BeatlesFest. Tony was George Harrison’s and Paul McCartney’s best friend. He went on to be the Beatles Road manager, PR Guy and talent scout, discovering James Taylor and Eva Cassidy.

He later went on to head major label Polydor Records with The Jam, Bee Gees, Slade and Roxy Music in his stable.

He was responsible for the music for Grease and Saturday Night Fever (using the Bee Gees) and for 5 of the Bond films getting Paul McCartney to do Live and Let Die.

Henry McCullough

We’ve had the late Henry McCullough play at the BeatlesFest. He played with Paul McCartney in Wings and was the only Irish man to play at Woodstock.

Now, for the first time, we’ve got the top band in the area, The Cavanagh Brothers, to play the BeatlesFest.

They will be playing in The Clock on Sunday night.

Cavern Brothers

Said Colm Cavanagh:-

Hello Gerry, just to let you know that we have been practising with a legendary drummer ( might even be Ringo 🙂 ). We have a show put together now and looking forward to the gig in The Clock.

“We even have a new name for one night we will be called The Cavern Brothers 🙂

Great Treat for Sunday

That sounds a bit of a treat for the Sunday night.

I heard a medley of Beatles songs that they played one night when I saw them and they sounded great.

It will be great to hear a full set of Beatles songs from them.

Be there or be square.
