Winning contestants to get a luxury holiday…..
After the success of Inishowen contestants in TG4’s Busker Abu, the show to find Ireland’s top busker, when local acts Spring Tides and the Decibellas finished runners-up in their heats, and Michael Thomas won his heat, RTE have been back in touch with local man Gerry McLaughlin as they have a new quiz show in December for which they want participants.
Quiz Questions
RTE’s information says “In each show, teams of three friends and/or relatives will battle it out for the top prize, answering questions from the last four decades of memorable moments, from sport and TV to politics and pop!
“Do you or your friends remember when Wham! had you waking up with the Jitterbug or when Meatloaf would do anything but that? How well do you recall Italia 90 or who was bringing home Sam or Liam? What about the rise and fall of Charlie? Who shot JR, or was it all a dream?
“Using video archive, the show will relive all the laughs, tears, shocks and triumphs of the 80’s, 90’s, Noughties and Now, while putting the teams’ knowledge and memory to the test.

Luxury Holiday
It seems that there will be four shows with three teams of three in each. The winners will get a luxury holiday abroad.
Said Gerry, “It seems that auditions will take place as early as next week. It should be a bit of craic and people might even win a luxury holiday that could take them out of the Inishowen winter for a while.
“We will be running a practice quiz in Rosatos in Moville on Friday night where people can register there for the quiz, if they like, and take part in a practice quiz for the show”.
