Tonight (Saturday) at the BeatlesFest on the Lough
Hard Day’s Night
It’s a Hard Day’s Night at the BeatlesFest on the Lough in Moville and Redcastle tonight.
It’s the keynote night with Beatles acts on in four pubs in the area.
Redcastle Hotel
First up is Shaun Hiboy who kicks off the Hard Day’s Night in the bar of the Redcastle Hotel.
That’s the earliest start at 10pm so that hotel guests and others can catch Shaun and then get up to Moville to see some of the other acts.
This is Shaun’s debut at the BeatlesFest although he has played every year at the DylanFest and has gigs again this year.
Annie’s Bar
In Annie’s Bar, the Plasticine Porters will be making their official BeatlesFest debut after impressing last year when they played at Open Mics and in breaks in the other acts’ sets.
They’re up again from Belfast where they have been playing some top venues.
Caiseal Mara Hotel
Luke McLaughlin will be playing his first gig in Moville at the BeatlesFest at the Caiseal Mara Hotel. Last year he impressed Tony Bramwell when he played in the bar at the Redcastle.
Luke is from Muff and is now based in London and has toured all over England and Europe with his Sixties influenced band The Turning.
He’s well worth catching tonight.
Rosatos
Last, but not least, will be Rosatos which have American, Michael Thomas, playing. He is a superb musician who won his heat in the recent Busker Abu contest televised by TG4.
There will be an extra treat with three-piece Dalhai from Downpatrick playing after Michael Thomas has finished.
