Muff’s Aaron to play for Ireland U15’s.
Young Muff lad Aaron McColgan has been selected to play for the Ireland U15 soccer squad. Aaron’s first experience with the squad will be in Poland in just two weeks time. This is a huge achievement for this young man. However it’s no surprise to many that the same guy has been selected for the national squad.
I and many others have watched Aaron play from a very young age. The potential was there to see form the beginning.
Aaron plays locally for Quigleys Point Swifts and last year, 2013, he was part of the Inishowen U13 squad who won the Foyle Cup. This was not only an historic win for Aaron but also for Inishowen as it was the first time that an Inishowen team lifted the Foyle Cup. Aaron and his cousin Shane (also a local lad) were very prominent players in that winning team.
Aaron here’s wishing you every success with the Ireland team. We will all be rooting for you and your team mates. Enjoy the experience in Poland and be very proud of yourself. Here’s to many more footballing experiences for you.
