Bobby Does Dylan bringing army of Scots with him for DylanFest
Bobby Does Dylan
Bobby Does Dylan, who is bringing his Dylan Unplugged Show with him to Moville’s DylanFest has been all over the media in Scotland for the last few days. He’s been in the Greencok Telegraph, the Sunday Post and the Daily Mail that we know of as well as Dunoon Radio yesterday and the large Inverclyde Radio tonight as well as another radio station.
They want to know two things about him. Firstly, how Bob Dylan searched him out to arrange to meet him, which he did last November, after seeing a clip of him play Dylan’s Like A Rolling Stone to the passing crowds outsid the Oran Mor in Glasgow.
DylanFest on the Lough
Secondly, they want to know about him being picked to play at what is now Europe’s biggest festival of Bob Dylan music in Moville.
Bobby is ‘selling’ the DylanFest on the Lough so well that he is being inundated with people from the West of Scotland telling him they are coming to Moville for the DylanFest on the Lough this weekend.
Local people selling accommodation and B&Bs are getting lots of calls from Scottish people looking for accommodation at the festival this weekend.
Dylan Unplugged
Bobby doesn’t just play Dylan songs. He is an actor by trade and he is putting on a show. It is basically the Dylan Unplugged MTV DVD which he performs with all the lighting effects as well.
It’s a special show. He performed it in front of thousands of people at the Oran Mor in Glasgow last year and now he’s bringing it to Moville.
The show will be on in St. Eugene’s Hall on Friday and Saturday nights from 8pm to 10pm with doors opening at 7:30pm.
Tickets for the Dylan Unplugged Show will be €7 for adults and €4 for children under 14. They can be obtained at Gillen’s and Rosatos or at the door.
Bobby will be revealing what Bob Dylan said to him when he met up, during his show.
He will be on Inverclyde Radio from 9pm to 10pm tonight if you can get the station.
