All the craic in Moville

Angie McLaughlin is the daughter of Gerry McLaughlin who was brought up and lived in Moville till he was 24 before getting married and moving to Greenock, Scotland.

Angie often spent whole summers in Moville as a child and teenager and is well known to many of the townsfolk.

American Move

After gaining a psychology degree at Trinity University, Angie moved to San Francisco.

She now works in Dublin.

She made and recorded music in San Francisco before she moved to Dublin.

Sick and Indigent

She plays with her band The Sick and Indigent Song Club at the Ha'penny Bridge every Monday night in Dublin.

She always tells people she meets in Moville to come and watch and to come up and say hello any time they are in Dublin.

A half page profile was done on them a while back in the Irish Independent and they did a four song set on the Pat Kenny radio show.

Rosato's

She played a couple of months ago in Rosato's Bar on the Main Road in Moville.

She has often taken the guitar off the wall and sung a few tunes when she is up in Moville.

Indeed owner Eddie Harkin once remarked that she was his favourite singer of all the ones who sing in there professionally or otherwise.

Listen

She's also sung and played as a guest in Rawdon's with Paddy McLaughlin.

You can hear some of her songs at the band's MySpace entry here - Sick and Indigent Song Club
