Henry McCullough was the guitarist with Paul McCartney's Wings which is the band Paul set up after he left The Beatles. He was the one who played the guitar solo on the classic Wings song My Love.

Henry also played with Joe Cocker and had a speaking part in the Classic Pink Floyd album Dark Side of the Moon.

He also played at rock's greatest ever concert Woodstock.

ODi is an Irish female singer songwriter originally from Co. Wexford in the south east of Ireland. Now based in Leeds UK she performs regularly on both sides of the Irish Sea!

She was raised on a diet of music, listening to and being inspired by the likes of Bruce Springsteen, David Gray, The Frames, PJ Harvey and Radiohead to mention but a few.

After taking in the music of such songwriters and the influences of the world around her, ODi set to writing her first batch of songs.

The results are stunning, her songs have already been describedas "beautiful" "emotional" "exciting" and "well crafted".

Combine these songs with her captivating and outstanding voice and a bit of Irish charm you have a very exciting prospect for the very near future and years to come.

ODi has already made an impact in Ireland and further a field with her debut single "Crawl" realeased in April 2007.

The single Crawl was picked up by many radio stations and as a result ODi played live sessions on Edel Coffee`s Phantom FM show and Rob O`Connor`s Irish Beats show on Beat FM amongst others.

The tours ended in Hot Press choosing ODi to be featured in their "Headlining act "article, describing Crawl as an "Atmospheric 3 Tracker that displays ODi`s vocal talent in all it`s genuine glory"

ODi has also been making waves in the UK too with constant gigging ending in a support to Seth Lakeman (UKs new folk star) at this years Beverley Folk festival.

The huge crowds response was fantastic and the most significant point in the ODi story so far!

So where does ODi go from here?

With a pile of great songs waiting to be recorded she enters the studio this summer for a session with respected Irish Producer Karl Odlum. She returns to Ireland in August for a HOT PRESS gig at the Wexford Arts centre. And a new single and Full Irish Tour is planned for November

Michael Hargan (Glasgow) – 22,810 Profile Hits / 25,560 Song Plays

A truly amazing talent. Glaswegian singer songwriter Michael Hargan will have you mesmerised during his live performance.

Equally at home playing solo, with a band or a string quartet, no 2 shows are ever the same and his ability to turn a 3 minute song into a 15 minute improvisation is a focal point in his live show.

Inspired by the spirit of bands like U2, Counting Crows, Pearl Jam, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash and The Frames, Hargan takes hold of his audience during his live shows and let's them go when he decides.

Michael has been touring the UK, Ireland and New York extensively over the past year on a wave of invitations from organizations and bands who recognised his talents following the release of his impressive debut album ‘Conversations between Us’.

His touring has also included sold-out headline dates in Scotland, Ireland and New York, and invitations to headline shows at festivals such as the prestigious Celtic Connections Festival in Glasgow and The Film Fleadh Foundation (Craic festival) in New York City.

He will be playing full band shows at Festivals during the summer including a main stage spot at The Big In Falkirk Festival in Front of an estimated 100,000 people.

But first of all he will be playing in The Waterfront on the Saturday night of the BeatlesFest.

Gimme Some Money

which comprises:-

Niall O'Shea (Dublin) - 8955 / 7,682 / 10

+ Mick Duffy (Dublin) – 2,151 / 2168 / 1

Niall O Shea is a singer, writer of songs and multi-instrumentalist.

A native of Dublin he has played in various musical ensembles, primarily rock 'n' rollers, Columbia.

Columbia released one of Nialls compositions, Believe, as a single in 2001.

It was well received, selling out its first pressing of 500 copies. The band then split, reformed and split again in 2005, both times being the result of a lack of Barrys tea bags and to a lesser extent cheap biscuits.

Since then Niall has been on the road travelling the global community and beyond and is due to start his world tour of Dublin rehearsal spaces and Aldi's.

He is currently writing and recording demos for his debut album which he will release in a galaxy near you, when the stars align and black holes are the coolest thing to discuss while cleaning the soot from your lungs with a chimney sweep...swell.

Mick Duffy is a singer and songwriter hailing from Ballymun on Dublin’s Northside. He began writing his own songs in 2001 and went on to record his first demo entitled ‘Evening Sun’ in 2002 with Stephen Shannon (co-producer of ‘Spoons’ LP by Jeff Martin). Additional tracks included ‘Hung On Love’ and ‘Inner Light’.

Since completing the demo, Mick has been supporting such acts as Q (a.k.a. Colm Quearney) and Earthquake Hair fronted by Ro Byrne, both former members of Irish rock band Lir. He is also to be seen regularly around Dublin’s songwriting venues. In 2005 Mick appeared at Dublin’s Hard Working Class Heroes festival.

Mick began work on his debut album in December 2004, with Q on board as producer. Two years later, the album ‘Awakening’ is completed and will be released on March 26th 2007 on his Independent Label, MDM Records.

Mick Duffy's songwriting is in the vein of Elliott Smith, The Beatles and Pink Floyd, and his music can also be found at http://myspace.com/mickduffy

TKO – 5 piece - (Dublin) – 17,072 / 17,162 / 1

Formed in Dublin in 2004, TKO stand out among their contemporaries thanks to their innovative and intelligent musical sensibilities and varied influences. They are a live band not to be missed, having recently been described by HotPress magazine as 'one of the best live acts in the country'. With the addition of violin, clarinet and lap steel, among other instruments, to their set, TKO's sound is both distinctive and original within Dublin's indie rock scene.

Using up to eight different instruments along with four-part harmonies, audience interaction and a few surprises along the way, TKO's live shows have become energetic and sought-after affairs in packed-out venues across the country. 2006 has been particularly good to TKO, starting with a successful support slot to the Frames at Vicar St. before the band took off to tour Italy in April.

Coming back home, the summer swiftly became a hectic and wonderful experience with the release of the Let's Go single, which entered the charts at no.42 and kicked off a fifteen-date tour of Ireland, taking in such venues as Dundalk's Spirit Store, An Crúiscín Lán, Cork, the Bowery, Waterford and a triumphant homecoming gig in Dublin's The Village.

Having already sold out Whelan's twice in a year, the tour became a new challenge which was a fantastic experience for all involved.

The band's activities in 2006 built on the solid foundation put in place by their first EP, Hats Off, released in May 2005. Hats Off has to date sold over a thousand copies. Already live favourites, they have since gained much media attention from many sources including Metro, Northside, Hold it down and Hotpress.

With all this behind them, TKO are looking forward to a busy 2007, with a nationwide 13 date "tour for the sake of touring" tour completed and a new live album, "Act one, Scene one" released, plans for another single are also in the works.

The band have already received invitations to play in venues in America, the UK and Italy as well as hoping to expand their Irish touring even further. Will 2007 be TKO's year? Come along and see...

Catch TKO on Friday night in the Bar-A-Cuda and on Saturday night outside in the square.

White Album – 2 piece (Dublin)

Catch them on Saturday afternoon at the Bar-A-Cuda.

Rob Smith (Dublin) – 11,877 / 16,119 / 2

What would you get if you crossed a mix of Paul Weller with The Stone Roses with a feel of The Beatles? The answer my friend is Dublin musician Rob Smith. Rob Smith was once a drummer in a few bands in the mid to late 90's.

He enjoyed doing the rounds in the usual Dublin circuit before he hanged up his drumsticks in 2000.

Songwriting never (and still doesn't) come naturally to him as it does to other folk, therefore had to spend time writing the songs that would make him into a solo artist.

These songs have been critically acclaimed by press and musicians alike.

Despite not having a record deal (and he claims he actually refused one in 2005), he remains a fantastic and unique artist. His unique blend of acoustic indie rock 'n' roll with a Merseybeat meets Mod feel to his music, his live shows strictly consist of him solo and acoustic.

He has played shows in some fantastic venues including The Witnness Festival, Olympia Theatre, Vicar Street, The Village, Whelans, Castlebar Royal Theatre, Limerick Dolans, Waterford Ten Venue, Portlaoise Sky, Belfast Limelight, Carlow Music Facotry, Glasgow Garage, Liverpool Cavern Club and many more across Europe.

If anyone ever said they have been bored at a Rob Smith gig, obviously has never been to one!

Catch him on Saturday night at Rosatos.

The Deans – 4,807 / 5,261 / 5
