Moville Summer Festival 2007
Day 1 - Wednesday August 1st
It opens with a Car Treasure Hunt starting from McGettigans pub in the Malin Road.
There's a quiz at Rawdons and a Casino Night at Maguires.
The heats for the Karaoke take place at The Town Clock where there will be a final prize of €1,000.
The Cavanagh Brothers will be playing at the Waterfront and there will be a 60's, 70's and 80's Disco at the Bar-a-Cuda.

Day 2 - Thursday August 2nd
Arguably the biggest event will be the Fancy Dress Balll in the Town Clock which has cash prizes.
The Fancy Dress Ball was always a highlight of Sea Angling week before that subsided and morphed into the Moville Summer Festival.
The Bar-a-Cuda has an act called the Strippendales which I assumed was a corruption of the Chippendales which is a male strip act but I'm told it is female strippers.
Stop Press - I now hear that it is male strippers after all and includes a local guy called McElhinney.
That must be a 'new' for Moville Festivals.
One would expect that it would be well attended.
The Waterfront has Deal or No Deal and Rosatos has Texas Holdem Poker.
Maguires has live music with Celtic Ramblers as has The Town CLock with 2 Hot 2 Handle.
Day 3 - Friday August 3rd
The Fairground returns to Moville. It takes place on Fair Green opposite the River Row.
It will be on from the 3rd to the 6th of August and will be open all day.
For the children there will be a bouncy castle. Again it will be there all day and be available till the end of the Moville Summer Festival.
The Festival will be officially opened with a Rocket Launch in Bath Green.
There will be a Pool Competition in Maguires and Susies for cash.
The highlight of the evening is the Johnny Fean Band who will be playing in Bath Green Car Park.
It features the lead singer / guitarist from that well known band Horslips.
There is live music and DJs in many of the pubs the pick of which might be local band Stratospheric at Rosatos and James O'Connor / Audrey Trainor / William Byrne playing McGettigans who made such a big impression at the DylanFest.
Day 4 - Saturday August 4th
The Moville regatta kicks off with a Punt Race and Dronheim race from the pier.
There is a Bonny Baby Competition with 12 different categories in St. Eugene's Hall.
After that there is a Tug-of-War and Lorry Pull in Quay Street.
The highlight of the evening is the Abba Tribute Band Abbadelicious who will be playing in the Malin Road.
Many of the pubs will have live music or DJs afterwards with perhaps the highlight being Sean Rea in the Bar-a-Cuda or James O'Connor and Audrey Trainor From the DylanFest in the Town Clock.
Day 5 - Sunday August 5th
The Moville Regatta continues with the highlight of the Regatta, the Raft Race taking place amongst other races.
There will be the opportunity to see Texas Ollie and his Performing Horses in Bath Green.
The Different Drums of Ireland will be heard in Market Square in the late afternoon.
The highlight of the evening will be U2 tribute band Vertigo who were so popular last year.
They will be playing in Market Square.
There will be a Fancy Dress period Disco at the Waterfront and another period Disco at the Town Clock.
There will be live music at the Bar-a-Cuda, Rosatos and Rawdons with a DJ at Maguires.
Day 6 - Monday August 6th
The Children's Sports and Fun Day takes place in Bath Green which should be fun for the kids.
The Moville Regatta continues from the pier.
The Festival will close with a Rocket Launch in Bath Green - but don't be fooled.
Just as the Moville Summer festival official opening took place two days after the festival started the festival will continue after the official closing.
There will be a Model Helicopter Display immediately afterwards in Bath Green.
Then the Battle of the Bands will commence in Market Square.
There will also be live msuic in The Town Clock and Maguires later on that night.
After this the festival will really be over due to there being no more events.
