Town Clock

Anyone trying to get into the Town Clock this week will have found the shut signs up.

The sign says that it has been closed for refurbishment.

Recent changes to licensing laws have caused the Town Clock and other late night establishments to charge people get in as the cost of the late night licence has almost doubled.

There is a charge now of €4 to get in, which obviously has some effect on the number of people going in.

It's not known at this stage when it will be open again.
