Town Clock opening is imminent

Town Clock

I'm told that the Town CLcok will be reopening shortly - and it could be as soon as this Friday.

I haven't had any definite verification of that but it seems its is likely to happen.

That will be a big boost to the town as Moville has been gradually running out of restaurants and pubs.

Last Two

At the moment there is only Rosatos and Caiseal Mara, not including the cafes and chip shops, where tourists may eat.

Thank goodness the rumours of the closure of the Caiseal Mara were wide of the mark.

There are now very slow signs that things may be at least bottoming out in Moville.

Rising

Sterling is rising and is now €1.21 to the Euro compared to near parity a while back - and now we are hearing of something opening rather than closing.

It is getting more difficult to run the local festivals as the pubs are funders of them.

Let's hope we have now turned the corner and we wish the Town Clock well.
