The Plea
Denis and Dermot Doherty have played venues in Moville like Rosatos, the Hair of the Dog, Caiseal Mara and the Bar-A-Cuda.
For many years now they have been Inishowen's best band by a long, long way.
However, they have also been Inishowen's Secret.
DylanFest
We knew they were great.
They played at the DylanFest in Moville each of the three years it was on.
My brother-in-law, over from Scotland, said at the DylanFest of 2008 "There were two bands I'd pay to see - the headline seven-piece the Phantom Engineers and The Plea".
2009
By the 2009 DylanFest The Plea had improved again, not having played in Moville since the last DylanFest.
They called at the last minute asking for a gig and luckily someone had pulled out at the Town Clock and I set them up with a gig there.
That left one pub manager in Moville (if not more) gnashing his teeth saying that if he knew if they were available he would have dumped the act he booked.
Gig of the Year
They put on a fantastic show that people are still talking about now.

It is generally felt that their set in the Town Clock and the set by The Sick and Indigent Song Club from Dublin in Rosatos at the BeatlesFest were the two Gigs of the Year in Moville.
Great Band
The Plea have always been a great band but they have gone up a few blind alleyways looking for success.
Now it looks odds on that they they are about to break through.
They have recently had airplay on RTE1 and are about to release an EP on March 26th.
Writers
They have always been a great band - but could they write their own songs?
That was always the question - and the answer is a resounding Yes.

Favourites
My particular favourites are Hello, Beatnik Street and Windchime - but they're all good.
I'll rephrase that - several of the songs are GREAT.
The Plea are going to do a tour of the local area after the release of their EP followed by a tour of Europe.
If they come to Moville make sure that you go and see them - you may not get the chance to see them locally again.
