Swanning around Moville

Swan in Moville

A swan has been swimming around in Moville for the past week.

It can be seen around the Bay Field area up as far as the Upper Pier.

It mainly hangs around where the River Bredagh hits Lough Foyle. Perhaps some Brown Trout are able to make their way through the sewage.

The Rules

My apologies for not getting a better photograph.

I thought it would know the rules where you take down some bread, chuck it in the water and it comes up close for a photo opportunity.

No Fear

Not this swan.

It heads straight out into the Foyle at the approach of humans.

There was a swan just off the River Row two or three years ago but I wouldn't be able to tell you if it was the some one.

They all look the same to me.

Geese

There was also a flock of geese obviously taking a rest after their migration.

They warned the swan every time I got close.

Pictures

I got a nice picture though as they all took to the air on our approach.

I also got a good picture as they left the water after a stone hit the water close to them.
