Haiti
A glittering array of talent has been assembled to raise money for Haiti at a grand Variety Night in Caiseal Mara in Moville on Friday, March 19th.
Tickets cost €30 and this will include a sumptuous three-course meal followed by a scintillating evening of entertainment.
The Banquet will start at 7:30pm and the doors will be thrown open to the public at 10:30 to see the debut of Inn at the Warehouse.
Barry Mac
Amongst the stars performing will be Dublin comedian Barry Mac who was a semi-finalist in the 2007 Nothing Butt Funny Competition and has appeared at the Cork Comedy Festival.
He is considered to be one of Ireland’s top up-and-coming stand-up comedians, and, luckily, he went to college in Dublin with one of the organisers so he has agreed to come to Moville to perform free of charge.
Legend
Also appearing will be Inishowen’s top story teller Paddy McCartney and Greencastle legend, songwriter and folk singer Patsy Cavanagh. Patsy wrote the world renowned song Home to Donegal. A fellow Greencastle man was on holiday in America when he was surprised to hear it being played on the radio.
Next up will be Sean Rea, who learned his music in LA before succumbing to the attractions of Moville. He has worked with such eminent masters of the music world as pianist Richard Bunger, producer arranger Jim Ed Norman and legendary recording engineer Ron Capone.
Sean has performed in such places as LA, Laguna Beach and the Seychelles before settling in Moville.
Gospel Choir
There will be another virtuoso performance by the Moville Gospel Choir who have thrilled audiences wherever they have performed and have packed out St. Pius’s Church in Moville every second Sunday at a time of declining congregations.
The stars of Moville’s Strictly Come Dancing Event will be back for another performance this time to help the victims of the Haiti Disaster.
Debut
The night will be finished off by the exciting debut performance of new band Inn At The Warehouse which features many of Moville’s top talents like Paul Bredin and James McIvor.
Those attending the banquet will also be entitled to a free pass into the Caiseal Mara Night Club afterwards. Tickets can be bought at Caiseal Mara, Gillens and Rosatos in Moville and in Coco Canny’s and Cafe Donna in Carndonagh.
