Tides

Both last night and early today high tides and high winds meant that debris was thrown onto the land.

Down the River Row all sorts of junk as well as seaweed has been thrown up onto the bottom of people's gardens.

Normally that happens two or three times every winter but it's very early this year.

We've not had much luck with the weather this year.

Walk

There was a good spell of weather early in the year but it was so long ago I can't even remember when it was.

It would be worthwhile, once the winds die down, to take a walk along the shore to see how far the tide came in and what has been deposited on land - and to see if any of the footpath has disappeared.

One hopes that this is not what the rest of the autumn and winter is going to be like.
