Storm

Last week we were battered by hail.

This week it was high winds - and rain and the cold.

Moville's tidal defences against the sea have been breached.

Tide

The tide has come over the sea walls.

It came up onto the Bay Field.

On the River Row the seaweed, jetsam and lots of plastic bottles came up onto the path at the back of the houses there, above the sea walls, and right into some of the back yards.

This usually happens two or three times a winter but it has already happened three or four times this year.

Shore Walk

I haven't been along there yet but I bet there are lots of pebbles, seaweed, driftwood etc. on the shore path and beyond.

It looks like we are in for a rough old winter.

Never mind, Christmas is coming - and then we have the long January and February days till St Patrick's day comes in March.

Maybe we need to put something on before then and have some winter fun.
