Scoil Eoghain

Scoil Eoghain is off today.

The children will be delighted.

I am not surprised.

There was a couple of inches of snow when I got up this morning and it is snowing again.

It is forecast to snow from 10am to 1pm today and then again from 4pm through to 2am on Saturday morning.

Community College

The Message on Moville Community College's website is "***NOTICE*** Buses will run 90 minutes later than normal tomorrow. School will start at Period 4. The conditions will be reviewed early in the morning and any further updates will be posted then".

With the amount of snow already lying and the amount forecast for today I would be very surprised if there was any school at all today - but we shall see.

Update

A new update was posted to the Moville Community College website at 8:50am.

It appeared to coincide with the fresh fall of snow which must have made them finally capitulate.

It said "***NOTICE*** School will be closed today. Friday 17th December, due to the poor weather conditions".

Carol Service

Also "‎***NOTICE*** The Carol Service which was to take place in the Church today is CANCELLED, practice will take place on Monday at 11".

So, there you have it.

It's a Snow Day.

Oh, what fun the kids will have.
