Bar-A-Cuda

I caught Mike Murphy removing the Claddagh sign yesterday morning.

As you may know Mike owned and ran the Bar-A-Cuda before he leased it out and it became The Claddagh.

However, the Claddagh, although it had its crowd, can't have been a success as the keys were dropped back through the door.

It took Mike a few weeks to get the licence back but he has it back now.

Weekends Only

He tells me that it is only going to be opened at weekends now and Bank Holiday Mondays.

It will open around 5 o'clock on Friday afternoons through till Sunday night.

It will have its old name The Bar-A-Cuda back again.

Trad Music

He is going to have a regular Traditional Irish music session in the Snug Bar on Sunday afternoons from 4pm onwards.

"Anyone who wants to join in and play will get a few free pints" said Mike.

Welcome Back

It's great to see a reversal of the trend of pub and restaurant closures in the town.

It's great to see the Bar-A-Cuda back.
