Paul McCartney

The first performer at the BeatlesFest on the Lough has now arrived.

Neil Tudor, who is a Paul McCartney soundalike and lookalike, arrived at Derry airport at 2pm today and headed from there to the Redcastle Hotel, where he is staying with his wife.

He has already met with a photographer and reporter from the Derry Journal and told them some interesting stories.

I heard them too but I'd better let you wait till you read them in the Journal on Friday.

Approachable

He seems like a nice guy as does his wife - very approachable.

He does, genuinely, look like Paul McCartney.

I arrived before the journalists in the Redcastle foyer and it was easy to recognise him.

Rosatos

He will be playing in Rosatos on both Friday and Saturday night.

He will also be playing at the mini-BeatlesFest at Scoil Eoghain at 11am on Friday.

Perhaps I can just tell you one thing that he told the Journal.

Morphed

He said that he didn't look much like Paul McCartney at all until about 5 years ago when he suddenly morphed into a Paul McCartney lookalike and has been looking more and more like him all the time.

Hiw wife said that old picture of him show little resemblance to Paul McCartney at all.

Isn't that weird?

Warming Up

I better leave the rest to the Derry Journal on Friday.

However, you'll get a chance to speak to him yourself at Rosatos, Scoil Eoghain or about the town during the weekend.

It's all starting to warm up.
