Moville's Weather
It's been a pretty poor summer so far.
The same has happened this year as happened last year and there seems to be a pattern now.
What happens is that we have a good spell in May and then everybody thinks we are going to have a good summer.
Then June comes and isn't good - but there's still plenty of time.
Then July starts to creep by without any sign of a good spell.
Nothing
That's where we are just now - pretty much half way through a summer we haven't had.
Then we get to August and nothing happens.
Finally we get a bit of consolation for a no-show summer by having a good spell in September.
That seems to be a pattern now - a good May and September with no sort of summer at all.
America
Before I came here I lived in America.
That's one thing about it - you were always assured of a proper summer every year.
It's difficult to go into the dark cold days of winter without having had a proper summer.
Bikini
I remember one girl telling me last year that she'd bought a new bikini at the start of summer and still hadn't used it.
Unless she went on holiday somewhere this year it will still be lying unused in the drawer this year.
Weather in Moville
By the way, Noel McLaughlin sent me the URL of a website which not only shows Moville's weather but shows it hour by hour and for the next 15 days too.
The site is called iog.weebly
I've actually stuck up a link to it on the left hand side of CraicOn under Craic On In Moville.
BeatlesFest
It's showing sun for the Saturday of the BeatlesFest, which will be good if it happens, and sun again for midweek following that on the 23rd and 24th.
I know the weather website is from the Inishowen Organic Group but it still wouldn't be a good idea to count your chickens.
