Haiti

The Irish are the most generous people in the world.

They show it time after time when there is a major disaster in the world.

Whatever the economic climate they put their hands in their pockets and give generously.

Most Generous

It has been shown that the Irish give more generously than any other country in the world relative to their incomes.

The local church of St Pius organised the donations for Haiti andd raise €13,500.

That's an astonishing figure when you realise that Moville's population is only 1,465.

Astounding

When you strip out the children from that figure then Movillians probably gave an average of €10-€15 each and maybe €20-€25 per family on average.

That's astounding.

Whenever tragedy strikes anywhere in the world Movillians are ready to dig deep and help with hard cash.

Keep Giving

They've proved it time and again.

They give till it hurts - as it surely must be doing during this severe economic downturn when business are closing all the time in Moville.

The people of Moville should be very proud of themselves.
