Greenfly

I've never seen so many of them.

The Greenfly, or aphids, are everywhere in Moville.

Spiders webs that you see are cluttered up with them.

Spiders Webs

I don't know if spiders eat them.

If they do, they'll have a feast.

If they don't, they're having their webs clogged up.

Midges

At first I thought they were swarms of midges - except they didn't bite.

I don't know what's casuing them all to suddenly appear.

Maybe whatever eats them has been affected by the weather conditions.

The midges themselves seem to be down in numbers this year becasue of the drier summer.

At least that's something.
