Anthony Doogan

I said hello to Danny McGettigan coming out of Gillen's shop yesterday morning.

He had been in to give them the winner of the GAA draw.

I saw it on the counter.

Paddy Gillen hadn't had time to put it up yet.

Winner

I saw the name Anthony Doogan as the winner of this week's prize.

I thought it was for €50 and mentioned it to Paddy.

"He won the 6 grand prize" said Paddy.

Principal

As everyone knows Anthony is the Principal of the local Moville Community College.

To pupils who are expecting a new Principal, no, he is not going to retire on it.

The college is highly successful.

I remember going to one Parents meeting when it was pointed out that at just about every meeting yet another success by the pupils of the school was highlighted.

Hello

So, pupils of the school, when you go back later this month you might just see a smile on his face as he greets pupils back again.

And it's not just because he's glad to see you again.
