Pearce Rawdon

Moville Boy, Pearce Rawdon, appeared on the BBC1 play The Empresses New Clothes tonight at 9pm.

The series takes a number of fairy tales and puts them in a modern environment.

Change

It should be noted that they have changed it from the Emperor's New Clothes to the Empresses New Clothes.

So instead of a fat old man appearing naked the BBC now have Denise Van Outen as the Empress appearing naked.

As it turned out she wasn't actually naked but the back of her dress tore off as she was getting out of the car for a film premiere that she was desperate to impress at, exposing her butt - and she kept walking.

No Clothes

There was a stunned silence amongst the photographers and onlookers - although the photographers kept snapping.

The first one to say anything was Moville boy Pearce Rawdon.

From behind the barriers he was the first to speak saying "Why's that women wearing no clothes"?

The BBC had to get special permission to have a 10-year-old boy present during a partially nude scene.

Local School

Pearce goes to the local Gael Scoil.

I wonder what his school mates will be saying tomorrow.

Will it be something like "Well acted, Pearce"?

Actress Mother

Pearce's proud Mum is Movania Parkinson, who runs acting classes for children in Moville, Carndonagh, Greencastle and Buncrana.

Movania is an actress in her own right and has appeared in several films and TV series.
