Art Parkinson

Moville boy, Art Parkinson, who goes to the Gael Scoil in Moville, will appear tonight in the TV series Game of Thrones which is on Sky Atlantic at 9pm tonight.

He will be playing Rickon Stark, the youngest son of Ned Stark, who is played by Sean Bean.

He will only be in three of the episodes in the current series, according to his mother Movania Parkinson, but he appears in a couple of scenes in the opening episode tonight.

Plans

There are plans for the series Game of Thrones to go on for 8 years providing the first series is a success which is highly likely.

Art's part of Rickon Stark will get meatier in future years as both he and the character grow up.

Art already has his own Twitter page and only he, John Hume, Brian Friel and Cecilia Keaveney have pages about them on the online encyclopaedia Wikipedia.

It will be interesting to watch the new series tonight, firstly to see how Art does and secondly because the series is supposed to be great being described as 'the Sopranos in Middle Earth'.
