Rawdons Pub
You'll find great craic any night of the week at Rawdons.
The entrance is through the shop. There's another entrance too which the locals tend to use but when I'm bringing visitors I usually take them through the shop which they think is 'cool'.
Traditional
It's one of those old fashioned, traditional Irish pubs and has great atmosphere. It's very popular with visitors to the town and especially those from America.
The quizzes are very popular on Wednesday nights.
But the pub is defined by its weekend music.
Friday Night
For around 17 years Paddy McLaughlin, arguably the best musician in the town, has been keeping the Irish Traditional Music scene alive and kicking in Moville.
He and Olive Fisher are the resident musicians on a Friday night but others are invited to bring their instruments along and to play - and they do.
They also encourage guest singers to come up and sing.
Saturday Night
Satuday night is the night for popular rock and folk classics as well as some lesser know classics.
Paddy McLaughlin and Sean 'Highboy' McLaughlin are regular players often with bass player Tim.
Sean tends to play the rock and folk classics with Paddy and Tim in accompaniment, whilst Paddy gives an insight and education into some lesser know folk and rock classics with Bob Dylan high up on his list of artists.
At some point in the evening they will play a rousing version of Like a Rollin' Stone by Bob Dylan.
Again guest singers and musicians are encouraged to play and there will usually be at least two or three guests who will get up and perform like Leo McCauley.
