Primrose

It's great time of year this.

Most of the worst is behind us and most of the best is in front of us.

There's a lot of hope around this time of year.

Spring

Spring is not far away and the early flowers are starting to come out as well as a few buds on the trees.

There's a crocus out in my back garden.

However, I was surprised to see a primrose out when I took a walk along the shore today.

Well, Well

If you take a walk along the shore you can see it.

It is just past Columcille's Well (on the left obviously) as you walk from the Moville end.

It is on that steep slope just above the well so it is obviously getting a lot of the early year sun and that is why it is out so early.

Bonus

It has been a real bonus this year getting this spell of sun. It's cheered people up.

It won't be long before the daffodils are out and then the bluebells.

It's good to be alive at the moment.

Till Thursday

And the sun should keep up till Thursday when it clouds over a little.

We'll get a bit more sun on Friday and Saturday before the rains come again.

Latest Forecast for St Patrick's day - overcast but a little warmer.

That should be OK.
