Tony Bramwell

It's uncanny!

It could have been Paul McCartney on the other end of the line he sounded so like him.

I knew it wasn't, as it was I who called Tony rather than vice versa.

Impersonating Paul

I now know how he was able to get away with impersonating Paul in a call to radio station at the peak of the Paul Is Dead incident.

He's only just admitted this fairly recently.

He said the Paul Is Dead rumour was taking 75% of their time at Apple of which he was the head and as Paul was in Scotland and unavailable he decided to try and kill the rumour.

However, it then started a rumour that Paul had a double that was covering up the fact that he'd died.

Nashville with Paul

Tony was telling me that he was in Nashville last week with Paul McCartney.

He also tells me he is a good friend of "The Boss" Bruce Springsteen.

He was telling me that he was in a hotel in America recently and when doing a radio interview he mentioned that the hotel only had Budweiser and no Guinness.

The next day a crate of 72 bottles of Guinnes was delivered to his hotel room.

Questions and Answers

I asked him what he wanted to do at the BeatlesFest and how other festivals had used him.

He said that he usually had an interviewer who asked him questions and then he took over with his stories and then asked the audience for questions so I think that's what we'll do.

It's just a case of working out the location(s) for it.

I must say I'm looking forward to it.

This is not like hard work at all!
