BeatlesFest

It's a little overcast as I write at midday on Friday and it may even rain. A little is foercast.

At around three o'clock, however, it is forecast to pick up and then be good for the rest of the weekend.

The forecast is for Partly Sunny and Sunny with no more rain.

That'll be great.

Cautious

We're always fighting the weather here in Moville for festivals.

I'm cautious about paying big money for a band to play in the street and then we have to cancel it because of the weather, so for the past couple of years I've made the outdoor events Open Mics.

Outdoors this year we have the Open Mic at the Putting Green Cafe on Bath Green from 1pm to 6pm on the Saturday and Sunday and there is The Teraways Beatles Extravaganza in the grounds of the hostel at Gulladuff House from 3pm to 8pm on both Saturday and Sunday.

Opening Night

The Opening night in Rosatos was a good night with Matt Whoriskey playing some great tracks and Tony Bramwell giving a talk and chatting to people generally about The Beatles.

Tonight he will be in The Town Clock along with top Derry Act the Jumping Jellyfish (and not Thumping as I've advertised them as).

Talk To Him

By the way Tony is happy for people to go up and talk to him about the Beatles and others he has known like Dylan, Springsteen, Hendrix, The Stones, The Who, The Kinks etc.

Last night I think some people were a bit nervous about going up to talk to him but that's what he wants.

You can also buy a signed copy of his book Magical Mystery Tour: My Life With The Beatles for €20 and have a chat with him.
