Rosatos BeatlesFest

There was a great final night at The BeatlesFest on the Lough at Rosatos last night.

The BeatlesFest seems to have come of age and is now getting up in the same league as the DylanFest.

On the way up to Rosatos on the Sunday night of the DylanFest I asked by brother-in-law, Gerry Greene, how many people he thought would be there.

"87" he replied.

I went round and counted them and wouldn't you know it there were exactly 87 there when I went round and counted them.

It swelled to wel over that later on.

I thought I would count them when I went into Rosatos again last night.

BeatlesFest Count

I counted 56 - which is not as big as the DylanFest but a lot better then most Sunday nights when there might be about ten at the most.

Paddy McLaughlin and Paul Bredin played a great set of Beatles music.

Posters

I brought up most of what I had left of the great posters that Aine Parkinson designed which transposed the Abbey Road album cover of the Beatles walking across the road onto the main street in Moville.

They went like hotcakes when I told people they could take them.

Most people got Beatles Road Manager, and head of Apple Records and Films, Tony Bramwell, to autograph them with a message.

I had 100 of them made and have only ten left, of which most of those are promised.

Great Night

The crowd stayed well into the early hours of the morning.

It was a great end to a successful festival.

And it was great to have had Tony Bramwell over for it.

Would he come back?

He says he will if it fits in with what he's doing at the time.
