Big Crowd
There was a big, big crowd at Rosatos on Saturday night.
It was like the Saturday night of one of the big summer festivals.
Part of it was due to the very popular singer from Tennessee, Justin Black, who played at the DylanFest, being booked.
Part of it was because it had been posted both here and in the Inishowen Independent that photographers would be down to take pictures for the Face Of Inishowen contest, which has big prizes and a modelling contract.
There will be one male winner and one female winner.
It's all in aid of iCare which is a very good cause.
Those that have been put forward to be voted on are all in today's Inishowen Independent.
Selected
Among those selected for the vote from Moville and Greencastle area amongst the girls are Aideen Fisher, Yvonne McElhinney, Both Tracy and Laura Kerrigan from Greencastle, Eileen Barr, Margaret McLaughlin, Claire Norris, Angela Gillespie, Emma McGeoghan, Brid McDermottand Kim Banks.
That's a strong line-up and should be good enough to see off Buncrana and Carn.
There were a few others in Rosatos, though, that I thought should have got in too.
On the male side there was Shane Doherty, John McCormick, Malachy McDermott, Darragh Henry, Joe Kelly and William Norris.
I'm not sure if that is quite as strong but I can't really tell when it comes to men.
Vote
It seems that all you have to do is to get your copy of the Inishowen Independent and to vote.
I wonder if the local bookies are taking odds on it.
I might check to see if I could have a bet on Joe Kelly or John McCormick, coupled with say two or three of the Moville / Greencastle girls (not literally).
Good Fun
It was all great fun though and a very good night.
I would say that that there were more girls than guys on Saturday night.
Are Moville and Greencastle guys not interested in a modelling career?
