Foyle Ferry
Good Friday is always one of the Foyle Ferry's busiest passenger days of the year.
There's no drinking ban in the North as there is in the south on Good Friday.
So, dozens of Movvillians and Greencastle folk take the ferry over to Magilligan to take advantage of the opportunity to have a few pints.
Huge Boost
With the weather today it will make a nice journey over as well - although it might be difficult to get into the toilet on the way back.
It will also be a huge boost to the pub / restaurant The Point at Magilligan on the other side.
How they must look forward to Good Friday every year.
Perhaps it is their favourite holiday of the year in Magilligan.
The owners of The Point must have been sweatingwhen there was a threat of the Ferry being shut down.
Drinks Run
I should imagine the taxis might make a few bob ferrying the good people of Moville up there and back.
I've never tried the 'drinks run' to Magilligan on Good Friday.
I must try it some year - maybe even tonight.
It sounds like good craic.
