Good Weather

All you people who are on holiday abroad will be really annoyed when you get back home to discover that Moville had great sunny weather while you were away.

The temperature and breeze is just about perfect too.

It looks as if we are in for the best spell of the year.

Spring Late

It was a long, long winter this year and spring was about a month late.

That had a knock-on effect.

For instance the blackberries are just coming out now.

We also had a plague of wasps that are just about abating.

Usually May is good but this year it was June.

July is usually forgettable except in exceptional years.

Still Late

It now looks as if we are having August - but in September.

Let's hope we have the usual good September too - but in October.

The good spell is supposed to continue too with 8 of the next 15 days forecast to be sunny with only two wet.

It makes is so much easier to go into the autumn and winter when you've had a good summer - especially when it has come late.
