Donegal

Donegal goes to Dublin on May 16th.

A spectacular show is going to take place from 12 - 6pm in Temple Bar.

It is taking place to boost tourism in Donegal.

Top Artists

Entertainment is to be provided by well known Donegal musical artists and top Donegal personalities are being encouraged to attend.

The budget for the event is €65,000 so it should be pretty good.

One views it with interest but also some trepidation.

Branding

It depends how they are branding Donegal.

Will they be selling it as new and vibrant - or steeped in the past?

Is it going to be a host of showbands followed by Daniel O'Donnell - or will it be music from the top bands in Donegal like The Plea?

We will have to wait and see.

At least it is likely to attract more people than the Fid sculture which now adorns our old pier - and at less cost too.
