Scamps
I was told that there wouldn't be many about the town on Saturday night.
At this time of year there are not many people out anyway.
However, there was also the Scamps reunion with the doors opening there at 10pm.
I should have known better.
The opening of the doors time means nothing to Moville people.
It is the closing time that is important.
Music
I had wondered as I walked up the road to Rosatos if there would even be music on.
I was surprised when I got there to see what would be a good crowd even in the summer (this summer anyway).
Scamps was an eighties and early nineties phenomenon.
I wondered, looking around, if people were dressed in the costume of the period - or whether that was their normal attire anyway.
Good Crowd
I'm not sure if it was a successful night at Scamps at the Bailey as I didn't go (I had never gone to the original) but the omens were good from the crowd assembled beforehand.
I'm sure it would have been the same at other pubs in the town.
They even had Geroge and Cahill from Greencastle playing in Rosatos.
As they played regularly when I first came here they may have been the ones who played in Rosatos (or elswhere) when Scamps was in its pomp.
They played an excellent set.
If I hear how Scamps went I'll let you know.
