Kaput

My PC went kaput in mid-October.

I had someone look at it to see if it could be fixed but it was an electrical fault inside the PC.

It might have been possible to get it fixed but it would have taken a while and I couldn't be without my PC for so long, so I bought another one.

All my data was on the old PC though.

Own Business

I run my main business from my PC, and as CraicOn is only a hobby and not money making I had to concentrate on getting my wain website up and going and to get the data back again from my old PC.

Luckily my brother-in-law is a bit of a whizz at PCs and he happened to be over visiting at the time so he managed to extract a lot of the old date and load it up onto my new PC.

Not Supported

I then had a problem that the free version of the software that I use was no longer supported by the software on the new PC I had and I would have to pay for a licence and would have to transfer over the articles from the old version of CraicOn to the new version.

That's what I'm doing at the moment but in doing this I discovered that I could still load articles to the old version here.

Not a Priority

It wasn't a priority to get CraicOn up and running compared to the other things I do.

In my own business I had let it fall back a little what with CraicOn and organising DylanFests and BeatlesFests in the summer.

I put the work into it in the winter to make up for it.

This is a crucial time of the year for me as this is when advertising budgets are allocated for next year.

Big Change

However, soon CraicOn will become a priority as I have joined up with a partner to make major changes to CraicOn and to roll it out across Ireland.

I'll let you know what is happening nearer the time (don't want anyone copying the idea before I have it built).

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by it.

Back in Action

Meantime I'll start putting new articles up on CraicOn most days.

I lost my camera again though whilst travelling over to Scotland for my mother's 80th birthday and am going to wait for the January sales before I buy another one, so many of the articles willo be withoiut picture till then.
