Clodagh Warnock

Internationally acclaimed Trad star Clodagh Warnock has finalised her line-up for her seisun in Rosatos on saturday night.

Joining her will be Tod Ponsonby who has played with Mary Black, Van Morrison and EmmyLou Harris, Roisin McGrory who we all know and Edel McLaughlin who plays piano accordion and writes for Irish Music Magazine.

Clodagh stresses that they are not a band but are simply playing a seisun.

History

Clodagh has been playing the fiddle since she was 7 years old.

She has toured extensively with Deanta, who were huge, throughout Europe and America.

Deanta produced 3 albums when Clodagh was with them.

She appeared regularly with them on national television.

Great Track

They play a beautiful version of Dark Iniseoghain which mentions Moville in it.

Listen to it here

I keep playing it over and over again.

Seisuns

Says Clodagh "I have also recorded with other musicians on their albums.

"I am still playing a lot but mostly informal seisuns and occasional concerts".

She teaches the fiddle also and is a member of the Inishowen Traditional Music Project which actively promotes trad music in the peninsula.

Rosatos

Said Clodagh "I am looking forward to the seisun on Saturday night".

I think we all are.

It's great to have a top star like Clodagh playing in Moville.

It's going to be a great, great weekend of traditional Irish music.

What could be better!
