Brian Barr

After a lifetime of being the births, marriage and deaths registrar at the Guildhall in Derry, Brian Barr didn't let the moss grow under his feet after he retired.

He immediately went freelance and set up his own civil ceremonies website called Irish Civil Ceremonies

Not only that he set up his own Facebook page to support his new business.

The business is going from strength to strength.

First Gay Marriage

When he was working in the Guildhall, Brian performed the first 'gay marriage' civil ceremony in Northern Ireland.

He intends to set up a separate business to build on that.

He is going to call it Man United.
