BeatlesFest 2011

There will be late licences in all 5 pubs involved in the BeatlesFest, i.e. Rosatos, Caiseal Mara, Bar-A-Cuda, Town Clock and Rawdons for 3 of the 4 nights of the BeatlesFest from June 2nd to 5th, that is the Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.

Performers

Tony Bramwell was the Beatles Road manager, joint head of Apple Records with Neil Aspinall and head of Apple Films. He was with them from the first hit record to the last hit record and still keeps in regular touch with Paul. According to Paul McCartney in an interview in 2002 "If you want to know about the Beatles, ask Tony Bramwell - he remembers more than I do".

Tony will be giving several talks on his time with The Beatles and answering audience questions and will be generally 'floating around' at the festival.

The Cavernites

The Cavernites have performed their unique show all over the UK and abroad, in 2008 for Liverpool’s capitol of culture year they were asked to perform an outdoor show on a floating stage at Liverpool’s Albert Dock to over 30,000 Beatles fans on the August bank holiday Monday.

In 2010 The Cavernites performed Ten sell out performances at The International Beatles festival in Liverpool at the legendary Cavern club, performing on the famous Cavern wall stage and also the Cavern Live Lounge stage, the very same stage where Paul McCartney performed on his return to the Cavern in 1999.

In 2011 The Cavernites will perform twice at the world’s biggest Beatles festival in America, the famous 'Abbey Road on the River' in Louisville Kentucky and the capitol of America, Washington DC.

Candlestick Park - From Glasgow, the guys from Candlestick Park have played both of the world's greatest Beatles festivals, the one in Liverpool and Abbey Road on the River in Louisville, Kentucky and Washington DC. They have played 4 times at the Liverpool Beatles Week including in fron of 30,000 people in Derby square there. Said Kevin O'Kane "it was great to play in front of so many Beatles fans. It was amazing. You could feel the love comingback to you on the stage from the crowd".

Neil Tudor - He has been OFFICIALLY endorsed by sir Paul, having worked with him as his double on the music video set of dance tonight in March 2007 Neil not only looks like Sir Paul but plays and sounds like him too! Neil performs a wide range of McCartney music which includes the Beatles, Wings, Solo and more modern McCartney hits.

Neil is a native Merseysider so naturally has the accent. He is a very talented singer and guitarist He has worked for BBC1, ITV, and Channel 4 TV in the UK, the Notional Lottery show, as well as a documentary, called McCartney v McCartney. He also acted as Paul's double in the video for Dance Tonight and had some good conversations with him on the site as well as with his fashion designer daughter Stella McCartney.

Nighthawksindublin - They put on their short play (around 10 minutes) Lennon v McCartney multple times During Liverpool's Beatles Week. It consists of a humorous discourse on which of the two Beatles songwriters was the best. It is perfect for a pub and the only two props that the actors use are head mics and a couple of bottle of Heineken.

The Modests - These guys have played all the main venues in Glasgow including the Barrowlands, the O2, The Garage and are playing on the main stage of Glasgow's Eastside festival in late May. They have also been asked to come and play at Liverpool's world renowned the Cavern where The Beatles used to play and the surprising this is that they are only 15 and 16. These guys are stars of the future and are a 'must see'.

Damian Sheridan - from Buncrana plays Moville regularly and gets good reviews and much applause when he does. One of the most popular, and maybe The most popular, act to play in Moville regularly.

Matt Whoriskey - has played several BeatlesFests and DylanFests in Moville and played the Manchester DylanFest.

Gareth McLaughlin - from Derry, Gareth took the first BeatlesFest by storm when getting up to play during the band's break at Rosatos. He was so good that the band told him to 'work away there' and never got back up. He played the BeatlesFest proper the next year and this year will return for a half-hour slot on the Saturday night in Rosatos.

Paddy McLaughlin and Paul Bredin - Regulars on the Moville circuit they have probably played every BeatlesFest and DylanFest between them since the inception in 2007.

Spring Tides - These are the up and coming guys in Moville and are bcoming better and more popular each time they play.

James & Niamh - These guys are only 15 and have taken Moville by storm.
