BeatlesFest Moville
The BeatlesFest took place in Moville in mid-September.
I got KillerSnail Productions form Belfast/Letterkenny headed by Sean Barr to make a film of the Festival.
After much work it's now available for the Christmas market.
It will be out within the next few days.
BeatlesFest Pubs
It will be available first in the pubs that had the BeatlesFest and then in local shops.
It will retail for €12.95 but will probably be available for release night only in the BeatlesFest pubs for less.
I've just seen it.
I've had an advance copy.
It's pretty good.
Bar-A-Cuda
There's a fair amount of Henry McCullough. In fact there's a fair amount of the Bar-A-Cuda where a lot of the musical acts took place.
There's also a good amount of Rosatos and especially of Paul Bredin and James McIvor.
Johnny Red Starred
I was very surprised to see that there are two slots for Johnny Red - a guest performer.
It showed him singing Come Together but he also featured in the fade out of the DVD singing a seafaring song.
It was quite moving as it showed images of Moville and the Lough as he sang.
Sean Barr must have been quite impressed with him as he was the only person at the festival to have every note he sang on the film.
Foyle Hotel
It also showed Michael Hargan performing at the Foyle Hotel.
Michael had played on the main stage of T in the Park in Scotland in front of 100,000 people but he flew over to play The Foyle as he wanted to be part of the BeatlesFest.
Interviews
There were also interviews with myself, Ducksie, Eddie Harkin, Marie from Barrons, Michael Murphy from the Bar-A-Cuda, Leo McCauley and Michael Skelly.
There was also quite a few local people who featured.
If anyone wants to get a copy they can contact Sean Barr of KillerSnail at barrsean@hotmail.com
