Musical Talent
I popped in last Wednesday to the weekly practice sessions for the town's young musicians.
This is an event put on by George McCormick who plays around the town.
He wants to find and nurture the next generation of musical talent.
Proper equipment
Youngsters can turn up each week and get a chance to play using proper equipment.
It is hoped that they can play during the summer at festivals like the DylanFest and Moville Summer festival.
When I popped in there was one band playing and quite a few waiting their turns to play.
I couldn't stay too long as I had a DylanFest meeting to attend.
Well Worthwhile
But from what I saw it looks as if it is well worthwhile doing.
They are now ready to break out and perform for the public.
Caiseal Mara
Their first extravaganza will take place in the small Function Room of the Caiseal Mara on Friday May 14th starting at 10pm.
Admission is free.
Form what I saw it will be well worth attending.
