Ugandans

Ugandan children give a thrilling perfomrnace to acrowd of almost two hundred at St Pius church on Friday night.

They are in the middle of a European tour that has taken in Denmark, Germany, England and Scotland before their performance in Moville.

Watoto

The show is called Watoto - which means Children in their local language (which could be Swahili of Luganda).

Their singing and dancing were top class and they even invited some children from Moville Community College to join in with them.

They had played to the schools earlier on in the day.

Fund Raising

The group were from Uganda raising funds for children made homeless.

They have set up houses of 8 children with a housemother in each and with a school and teachers.

Ambitions

At one stage the children were asked what they wanted to be in the future.

There were four budding pilots, three doctors and three Accountants.

One wanted to be a bank manager which didn't go down well but the biggest cheer was for a young boy who wanted to be a taxi driver.

Not sure who was in the audience.

Quiet Part

The only quiet part of the night was when the Compere said "That's our words for Good Evening. What's Good Evening in Irish?".

After a silence followed by a bit of discussion a small girl volunteered the information.
