A plague of wasps in Moville

Wasps

Every year you see a few wasps around at this time of year.

They don't have long to live and they're not very pleased.

Indeed they're actually dangerous at this time of the year.

Plague

However, this year there is a vertiable plague of them.

They're everywhere.

We leave our back door open during the day and they've been piling in.

Mistake

It's a mistake to leave anything with jam on it or orange juice in it or any fizzy drinks about or they're onto it.

It started about two weeks ago.

You've got to watch when you pick something up as there could be a wasp on it.

Stung

Our Jack Russell terrier is sitting on the floor looking sorry for herself as she got stung after giving chase to one.

One hopes they don't hang around too long.
