Although it is nothing to do with Moville, it is interesting, it may put you in mind of other 'wasted money' projects in Moville and also we want to ecourage other people to send us in articles of interest.

News

Here it is:-

"Thought this might interest you

"I saw on teletext last night that the government are spending at least €35,000 changing the name of The Department of Social & Family Affairs to the Department of Social Protection.

"In a recession is this not the biggest waste of money.

Asked Around

"Out of curiosity I asked several people what they thought the Department of Social Protection were responsible for and answers ranged from "issuing free condoms", "weapons control" and "something to do with child abuse"

"Nobody I spoke to thought it had anything to do with social welfare.

Maybe the Government should adopt the policy if it aint broke don't fix it and save the money for something more worthy".

If anyone else has any newsworthy items please send them in to info@craicon.com - especially if they relate to Moville.
