Children’s Creative Writing workshops
The WRITE STUFF Kids Club is returning to a more local field after a summer of travelling all over Donegal and even as far as Wexford town with Children’s Creative Writing workshops.
The summer has been a hive of activity with workshops and summer camps and meeting lots of little imaginations all over Ireland. And there has even been a number of radio interviews. These kids are soaring in confidence!! But alas, there’s no place like home!
Here at The WRITE STUFF Kids Club I host monthly and weekly workshops encouraging children to use their imagination with language and words. This is not a workshop where one has to be a great writer or even a great reader. This is a workshop where a child is encouraged to think for him/herself and in turn believe in him/herself. This is all about instiling self-confidence and self-belief in children. Life is taken up too much in the modern world with technology, social media etc. Children are forgetting to use that all important imagination.
At these workshops I encourage children to express their ideas in words and pictures. We use a lot of drawings and artwork to tell stories also. And we talk a lot. Discussion is very important as it again builds a child’s confidence in their opinion.
Workshops will be limited so booking is essential.
Monthly workshops will begin at Warrenview Manor in Muff on Saturday September 3rd. The sessions will run as follows:
10.30am – 12.15pm (Ages 6-8)
1pm – 2.45pm (Ages 9-12)
3.15pm – 5.15pm (Ages 13+)
To book your child’s place, call/text 0863148541, E; email@example.com or pm on The WRITE STUFF Kids Club FB page. Looking forward to seeing all the old faces and meeting lots of new ones in September.
