Cavanagh Brothers Headline Greencastle Tonight
It’s the big night, tonight, in Greencastle for the Greencastle Regatta.
Headlining the music, tonight, there, from the main stage in the village, will be the Cavanagh Brothers.
The Cavanagh Brothers are a top, top, local act and I’m told they are one of the few local acts who can play music as their full-time job. Indeed, I can’t think of any others who can do that, if what I’m told is true.
If you count Malin as around here there would be that top international act, The Henry Sisters too.
The Cavanagh Brothers play top gigs not only around here but further afield too.
Strangely, as I go out a lot locally to hear music, and they play a lot around here, I have never seen or heard them play.
Well, that’s not quite true. I saw them at a wedding a few years ago at the Ballyliffin Spa Hotel but the set at a wedding and one on a Saturday night at a major venue would be very different.
Supporting them will be Matthew Crampsey, who has developed a big reputation and who plays regularly in Annie’s Bar as well as lots of other venues in the area.
Booked for the Sean Ti, afterwards, are Spring Tides. It should be their usual strong performace.
So, there is a good choice for you tonight.
There’s the Cavanagh Brothers, Matthew Crampsey and Spring Tides (Sean Ti) in Greencastle tonight or the Decibellas (Rosatos) and Atticus Finch band (The Clock) all the way from Fermanagh and Maria McCormick (Annie’s Bar) in Moville tonight.
