A tractor run will leave Muff Community Park this coming Sunday morning at 11am. Funds raised from the run will go towards the installation of the new wheelchair accessible swing at the community park.

Tractors will leave the park at 11am sharp on Sunday morning and cost per vehicle is €10. The route to travel will take the tractors to Burnfoot, via Buncrana, Cockhill, Carndonagh, Quigley’s Point then back to Muff where coffee, tea and refreshments will be available.

Muff Community Park has welcomed visitors daily since its opening 8 years ago. With the exception of the Covid lockdown period, the park is a welcomed haven for families of all ages. Now it will reach even more families with the installation of the wheelchair accessible swing.

A grant to the value of €2,500 was received towards the swing but a further €5,500 is needed to meet additional costs and safety. Donations can be made via the ‘go fund me’ page at http://Go Fund Me swing

Muff Community Development Co-Op has a policy of inclusivity, ensuring that facilities under its management are accessible to all. The playground has a number of pieces of equipment which are accessible to children with disabilities, but none can facilitate use when in a wheelchair. This new swing will facilitate just that.

If you see the tractors out on your road on Sunday give them a wave, and maybe a spare euro or two and help make this playpark inclusive for wheelchair users now.
