Irish Government Asks All Pubs to Close from Tonight
Pubs Closing
The Irish Government has asked all Irish Pubs, nightclubs and hotel bars to close from tonight till March 29th.
That means that all bars in Ireland will be closed on St Patrick’s Day which is on Tuesday.
Said the Government, “Following discussions today with the Licenced Vintners Association (LVA) and the Vintners Federation of Ireland (VFI), the Government is now calling on all public houses and bars (including hotel bars) to close from this evening (Sunday 15th March) until at least 29 March.”
It’s going to be a difficult period for Moville’s pubs, restaurants and hotels and the people who work here.
It’s not a lot of fun but it is necessary. However, the pubs would still be open across the border, e.g. in Derry which is 17 miles away.
The lights are going out all over Europe.
