It takes place from August 2nd to August 4th in Moville in County Donegal, Ireland 17 miles north of Derry. Moville is situated on a salmon fishing sea lough. Beatles road manager Tony Bramwell called it the “quaintest Beatles festival I’ve ever been to”.

Nearest airports are City of Derry and the two Belfast airports International and George Best (City Airport).

BeatlesFest Performers

Michael Thomas

Michael is a virtuosos guitarist from New York who now lives in Portstewart. He regularly played with Henry McCullough who played with Paul McCartney in Wings and was the only Irish man to have played Woodstock. You have to hear Michael’s version of the Rolling Stones’ Paint It Black.

Benny Doherty

Benny was the lead singer with one of the greatest bands ever from this area. At their peak they were the top band in the area. They were called Stratospheric. They went on a tour of Scandinavia and produced a single.

Conor Gillespie

Conor is the lead singer with the current Moville sensations the High Class Hobos. They recently played the main square at the Moville Festival. Conor has played the BeatlesFest previously. Indeed the Hobos usually start their act with a great version of The Beatles Octopuses Garden.

Damien Sheridan

Damien plays the BeatlesFest on the Lough virtually every year. He’s quite a musician and knows hundreds of songs.
