Patsy Cavanagh and the Cairn

Patsy Cavanaghs “Songs, Stories and Scenery ” is a journey through our Inishowens past.

Songs and stories are all enhanced by large screen imagery of Donegal.

The whole evening is peppered with stories which Patsy has picked up over the years plus interesting insights into our local history, farming, fishing, emigration from the Foyle and  emigrants returning.

Home to Donegal Song

Patsy’s own songs like Home to Donegal, The Old Schoolyard, The Lights of Home, Winning the Lottery, Dear John or being caught in the pub after hours plus well loved standard songs from his life on the musical road.

Songs, Stories and Scenery of Inishowen takes place in The Cairn, Greencastle every Friday evening at 8 o clock.

The Cairn is a lovely intimate venue with seating for around 80 people.

It is ideally suited to this type of concert as it allows the audience to be within earshot if they have a contribution to make.

Just Outside Greencastle

Situated just outside Greencastle on the upper road it has welcomed visitors since 1999

The evening ends with a cup of tea and a chance to share stories.
